Thanks Miss Dee ! Let's just say my birthday went pretty good. Wish I was home now. Took a nasty fall and put an 18 inch gash on my bad leg.

If I ever knew, I forgot, but I didn't realize we were born under the same sign. Explains a lot, don't it? Happy birthday! You mean like we're right and everybody else is wrong ? Or the fact that we enjoy the hunt for things as much or more than the target itself ?

Thanks guys ! Spent the day watching the first 2 seasons of The Walking Dead and drinking Diet Dr. Pepper. I see that Savoy Brown has a new live CD / DVD combo pack that was just released.

The Freakshow Apocalypse : The Unholy Sideshow. I take back what I said about Die You Zombie Bastards. Man, did this one reek ! I actually gave up on it. It disgusted me in every way. The title had potential, but the movie never lived up to it.

Ian Hunter : When I'm President. Good Time Rock n Roll. Reminds me of Mott the Hoople in their hay day. For a guy 73 years old, Ian Hunter still writes and plays songs worth listening to. www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5wbw0uPQoM

Evil Dead. Its been close to 30 years since I saw this one. Hulu has it available. ( Probably because they're doing a remake of it. ) Great movie, even a boob shot. Nice........... 9 outta 10.

This really sucks for me. One of my all time guitar heroes passed away today. Alvin Lee played like the devil. God, he was good. Yeah, it was 12 bar boogie, but he always played incredibly hard, no matter what the size of the audience was. I saw him play for 60,000 fans in ball parks to a club like Mancini's in McKees Rocks. And he always gave it everything he had. I'm going to miss him. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKB1XfvobuYwww.youtube.com/watch?v=7NS-U5Tk6bo

The Black Order by James Rollins. This was about a weapon that the Nazi's were working on towards the end of the war. The weapon was called Die Glocke ( The Bell.) It was built at the bottom of a mine outside a Polish town. The Nazi's only set it off once. It killed everyone in the town and all the livestock. At the end of the war the Nazi's killed every scientist who worked on the project and carted up the experiment. The book takes place in modern times with the Bell rebuilt in the Himalayas, and also recreated in South Africa. Two different organizations with the same goal and an American spy organization trying to stop them. I had trouble putting the book down. It also gave me nightmares for a week. The book was fiction, but the Bell was real and did disappear at the end of WWII.

Jimi Hendrix : Band Of Gypsies. The one on Capitol Records. The original one. Machine Gun still sends shivers up and down my spine. The story I heard was that Hendrix asked Bill Graham how he liked the first show. Graham said it was OK. Hendrix wanted to know what was wrong with it . Graham told him that if he'd just play and do away with the theatrics, ,it would have been better. Hendrix was shocked. In those days, they did 2 shows a night. The last 3 shows, he stood still and just cooked.

Huw Lloyd-Langton. Lead guitarist off and on for Hawkwind from day one. His sound reminded me a little of BOC. There were times when you just neer knew where he would go with a song. I'e been listening to him for 30 years now. He was only 61 and died from cancer. Get checked, you neer know. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMISM0dIxpk
