Any fans of Joe Bob Briggs? If so, click here for Latenight Wingman, a site dedicated to preserving Briggs' host segments from his TV stints (The Movie Channel, TNT's Monstervision, etc). You have to sign up to their forum to participate. Doing so now, I'll let y'all know. EDIT: Okay, so here's what they do. They use some software called ImgBurn (it's free) so you can copy your uncut version of the movie and they edit in the Joe Bob segments. There's also a pay it forward section, which is basically like the tape trading days of old. Sorry if the details sound hazy, I'm half-awake, but it looks interesting.

This Friday, there's a new site opening called DownloadHorror.com. The name says it all: they're offering horror movies for download.
Only thing that sucks? $9.99 per download. Kinda steep unless they're offering some hard to find stuff.

Kinda steep unless they're offering some hard to find stuff. Wow that would be kick ass but really pricey for downloads. I would rather pay the $9.99 to own a DVD. They want me to pay $9.99 for the download only? Then I have to do the work of decoding it, paying for the blank DVD, and burning the blank looking DVD myself? I don't think so.

If I can download some artwork with the movie that would make the cost a little bit more worth it. I like having a picture on my DVD case.

Checked out that Downloadhorror thing. Meh. Looks like that low-rent stuff that has a tiny ad buried in the back of Rue Morgue every month. I'm all for giving indie/direct-to-video stuff a shot, but that's why I have Netflix.
