Paranormal Activity
i liked it
i'm not saying it was "scary" or the best movie ever but, it was pretty cool and creepy. my favorite part about this movie was the characters. i thought the way they behaved totally sold the movie. for the most part, they acted exactly how i would and they were very easy for me to relate to. i'm not saying i agree with every move they made but i thought their preformance was done very well.
long story short, if you liked blair witch, you'll definitely like this cause it's way better. if you're one of those people who nitpicks, critiques, has a closed mind or whines about shakey camera work then, don't even bother seeing this movie.

This movie looks interesting but I'm not a fan of shakey camera work.

This sounds like something I would like. I figured that it would be alot like Blairwitch. I thought Blairwitch was ok. The concept was unique but the annoyance of the movie is what brought it down. The majority of the movie goers didn't like the ending because they didn't get a typical movie ending which is what I liked so much about it. Paranormal Activity looks like it would be less annoying. Now this type of filming is common place these days but I'm hoping it will give me what Blairwitch didn't.

this is a movie best viewed alone... the packed crowd and the screaming girls at the theater were a bit annoying.

this is a movie best viewed alone... the packed crowd and the screaming girls at the theater were a bit annoying. That's what I thought. It doesn't look like a movie I must see at the theater. Meaning it isn't a visually awesome looking movie, or special effects that you need to see on the big screen or it would have great sound that you need to hear at a theater.

I was watching the Rotten Tomatoes show and they had the director on, Oren Peli, and he said the original ending from the theater version was suggested by Steven Spielberg. i found that to be kinda interesting.

months later, most of you may have seen it by now. what did you think?
i have mixed feelings - but i have to tell you, i hated both those characters. that dude Micah was such a tool. he was the kind of guy at the office i love to hate.
i wanted the demon to throw the woman out the window, and take a spiritual sh* on micah while he was sleeping.
i was routing for the demon.
good movie, though - i just had trouble "caring" about the characters. to me, if i like the characters, i get engrossed in the movie (as was the case with the two women in 'mulholland drive', for reference. )
