First off i'd like to say, it was a pleasure being able to help out at Horror Realm this year. It was organized very well and from what i can tell, ran very smooth. The whole Horror Realm crew are wonderful people to work with. Thanks so much to Sandy, Michelle & Rich for letting me be apart of it.
Now from a fan's perspective, i must say i was quite impressed and thought it was the best convention i've ever attended. Granted i haven't been to a whole lot of shows like most of the people that attend these events but, i thought everything from the Guests to the Dealers to the Staff and etc were nothing less than top-notch.
The celebrity guests that i met were all a delight to meet.
- David Naughton was the first one i had a chance to meet and i was not disappointed. An American Werewolf in London is one of my favorite horror movies of all time and i thought he was one of the best things about this years show. Definitely one of the nicest actors i've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
- Tony Todd was another great addition to the convention. He was really cool to talk to and also a real nice guy. It was awesome seeing him around after hours throughout the weekend hanging out with everyone. Very cool.
- Same goes for Ken Foree. He's a total class-act. This wasn't my first time meeting him and i sure hope it won't be the last!
- Robert Z'Dar was very interesting meeting. It was fun seeing him go up and play the guitar after the band on saturday night. His Q&A panel was pretty good too, it was a shame more people didn't get a chance to catch it... cause he's a maniac!
- Jeff Lieberman is one of the most amazing people i've ever met. i really enjoyed his Q&A panel after Just Before Dawn in the movie room. He had some very interesting stories. I highly recommend meeting him if you ever get the chance.
- And of course Bill Moseley was probably the biggest attraction on this years guest list. And he really was a super nice guy and very easy to approach. It's always good when finding out an actor of his stature is cool in real life...and that was definitely the case with Bill.
- Unfortunately i didn't really get a chance to meet everyone. i ran into Leslie Easterbrook a few times and she is still very attractive. Tiffany Shepis was also real hot and i regret not getting a chance to talk to her more. i did have a chance to meet Scarlett Salem And Joe Knetter briefly. Scarlett too was a real hottie and they both were real cool to meet. I also thought her Q&A with Brenna Lee Roth was very cool. i wish Brenna would've stuck around longer.
As for the Authors and various other guests, i didn't spend much time meeting. i'm not entirely a huge fan of books but i can tell that that part of the convention was a huge success. i did meet a few authors like, Scott A. Johnson, Travis Adkins and a few others and all seemed to be very nice people. For the amount of feedback and interest the Authors and panels created, this part of the show is a major attraction.
The Q&A with The It's Alive Show cast was hilarious. It's always great to see them in action and they were a big hit with the fans with their cooking/comedy/info panel. i hope to see some of it in the next season of It's Alive!
The Horror Realm team did an incredible job with every aspect of the convention. Plenty of fun for everyone that attended no matter what their taste. i hate that it's over already and i'm already excited for next year! Thanks again!
