Dead Alive - 9/10 - I love zombie comedy. This had me squirming and laughing my ass off at the same time. Lionel continually smiling and having clean teeth reminded me of an Orbit gum commercial. Yay! Glad you liked this one. I assume you saw the unrated version. The R-rated is cut so badly that I hated the movie the first time I saw it. Damn fine custard! I kick ass for the Lord!

The Zombie Diaries - 8/10 - Interesting twist at the end. Never saw that coming. Not sure how I feel about the shaky camera POV filming. Made it more realistic but also got on my nerves in some spots. Overall though, I enjoyed it.

I've become fond of Pizza Palace on Webkinz World. I log in as my nieces and play and win them Kinzcash. Yeah, I know.

In this morning's Post-Gazette:
Trying to sound less geeky and, perhaps, save an extra letter on its office stationery, the Sci Fi Channel announced Monday that it is changing its name to the phonetically identical "Syfy."
The reason? Parent company NBC Universal said it can better market "Syfy" as its own brand, rather than one pegged to science fiction (it broadcasts, after all, Extreme Championship Wrestling every Tuesday).
But the news hit the blogosphere with such fervor that it was as highly searched Monday afternoon on Twitter as the AIG bonus controversy.
Reaction on Twitter fell along the lines of: "My instinct is to pronounce it Siphee which sounds like a certain disease. Fail."
Groups have already sprouted on Facebook, including: "Hey 'SyFy,' Geeks ARE your audience. Change it back to SCI FI!"
But the response has not been entirely one-sided. Graphic novelist Warren Ellis wrote on his blog: "I never liked the term 'sci-fi' in the first place ... it's actually a smart marketing move." (John Lendman, Chicago Tribune)

Is that because people have become too stupid to spell SciFi and now we have to go with phonetics? Or is that text-speak?

Rumor is that it's Fine Living Network. Odd.

Is this a sequel extending the alternate universe or a remake of I/II?

Zane was supposed to announce the new network today but instead posted this:
While I did get "the call" from the production company that Three Sheets has a new home, I've been told by MOJO HD that the deal is not yet done. SO... I can't make the official announcement yet. Some people jumped the gun by telling me that it was a done deal... That doesn't mean that it's not going to happen-- that means that it IS. It just has to be lawyered first...
Kind of sounds like the It's Alive saga.

Dance of the Dead - 8 out of 10 www.imdb.com/title/tt0926063/On the night of the big High-School Prom, the dead rise to eat the living, and the only people who can stop them are the losers who couldn't get dates to the dance. I liked that this was a somewhat funny zombie flick in the manner of Sean of the Dead. It had lots of blood and gore but there was a lot of tongue in cheek (yes - pun intended - check out the bathroom stall scene towards the end). The garage band holding the zombies at bay was kind of a funny idea. I was sort of distracted working on some emails while watching so I need to check this out again uninterrupted. But I liked what I saw.

Season 6 premieres on April 1. There are two new cops being added. From the one cast photo I saw and hints on Wikipedia, it looks like three of the previous cast are not back this year:

Haven't watched for a while since Desperate Housewives is on at the same time and I don't have a DVR. I miss the new Family Guys too. Hopefully I can catch up on them when they are in reruns.
