Hollywood Theater - 6 PM Join us for a fun filled night as we raise money to support the Scares that Care organization. Last years event was a great success that raised over $2,200 for the organization. This year we hope to raise even more. Scares that Care is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer charity. Help sick kids and women fighting Breast Cancer. www.scaresthatcare.orgWe will be showing George Romero's "Martin" and will be joined by the star of the film John Amplas. We will be adding more actors and actresses from the film soon. At this time it will be shown digital but we are working on finding a 35mm print. Either way it's a fun event helping a great organization. Schedule of events: 6:00 PM - the doors open 6:30 PM - John Amplas and other Martin guests available for autographs. John will be charging for his autograph but is donating everything to Scares that Care. 7:45 PM - Silent auction winners annouced and 50/50 winner annouced. 8:00 PM - "Martin" begins 9:40 PM - Q&A with John and other guests Artist Terry Callen is creating a special 11x17 poster for this event. There will be a limited amount of posters printed for this event. Ticket may be purchased at www.showclix.com/event/MartinSTCbenefit. We recommend getting your tickets in advance. Recent fundraisers at the Hollywood have sold out quickly. The $25 level tickets will only be available in advance. There will be two ticket options: $25 gets you your movie ticket and a copy of the limited edition poster which will be autographed at no charge. $10 gets you admission to the event. In addition to being a fundraiser for a great charity we will also be celebrating a birthday, John Amplas! John is very excited to celebrate his birthday with everyone and he picked the date for the event for this very reason. More details coming soon. In the mean time please save the date and share this event with your friends.

2013 marks the fifth year of Horror Realm, Pittsburgh’s modern horror convention, and we have some great things planned!
First, we are happy to announce that our Spring Break Massacre show will be expanding to a full weekend on March 15 to 17, including an Irish Wake party on Saturday night. And the show will feature guests Danielle Harris and Kane Hodder, with more to be announced. Details will be coming soon on table rates, room reservations and advanced ticket purchases.
Our fifth anniversary fall show will be September 20 to 22, 2013. So mark your calendars for both shows!
To kick off this milestone year, Horror Realm will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Undead Party at the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South. Come dressed in your most ghoulish semi-formal attire (think Carnival of Souls) to ring out 2012 and welcome in 2013! Details will be released in early November.
We are also pleased to be partnering with Crowne Plaza, our host site, on a lot of great events throughout the year and on December 1, we’ll release a schedule. So stay tuned!

zombieapocalypsepa.com
Check out this zombie survival event for charity on October 13 in Westmoreland County.
The Zombie Apocalypse charity event is a game where a group of survivors attempts to complete a mission while eliminating their opponents: ZOMBIES! Zombies shooting silly string! The zombies will try to infiltrate the survivors' base and eat their brains. Ages 13 and up.
The charity goal is to be able to purchase 2 ShelterBoxes, each costing $1,000. ShelterBoxes are large green plastic containers that provide essential supplies a family would need in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. They include a tent, thermal blankets, cooking utensils, a stove, basic tool kit and water purification equipment. The rest of the proceedings will go to the club fund and the many charities that the Westmoreland Rotary Club supports.
(Way better than an event where some dude collects sponsor and vendor money so he can keep his utilities from being shut off).

For anyone interested, NBC has moved Grimm to Monday nights at 10:00. Also, last night was the 2nd season premier. WTF......... Over !! They're hoping for a larger audience, according to The Morning After. Just saw the premier episode on HULU............ sweet ! I missed the first show back, need to catch it. Kind of like the time change, it should fit in well with my viewing schedule right after RuPaul's Drag Race.

Yes, I'm incarcerated again in Aspinwall. This is by choice. Last Thursday, an elderly female dementia patient got into my room while I was in therapy. When I got back, she was sitting in my wheelchair, looking out the window. ( I'm being transported back and forth to the Oakland VA from Aspinwall on a stretcher and I grab a chair there. ) I had to get a nurse to remove the crazy old lady. The one thing the nurse forgot was that she wheeled the woman out in my chair. She had to go back and get it from the woman. Oh its fun time again ! Take care of yourself!
