Just returned from McDonald's a few mins. ago to grab a quick lunch with the Count. A guy in line, obviously from another country, spent 5 mins. trying to order a "beckamecka" & a "shockalotta mickashicka" before the waitress finally figured out he was trying to order a Big Mac & chocolate shake.
When he got his food, he said, "Awesome!"
I thought to myself, you came to this country & learned how to say "awesome" before you learned how to order food that you needed to stay alive??

Devo got called onna counta rain. Good news: we got a hook up for backstage passes for the rescheduled show! And I got to have beer. So it wasn't a total washout.

BORED BORED BORED!! None of my friends are around to hang out. Decided to watch DEADLY WEAPONS with Chesty Morgan earlier today but I was so tired I fell asleep after 15 minutes. Probably going to grab something to eat and try another movie.

I'm surprised he just didn't order a #2. On the reverse I learned that lesson at Dunkin Donuts one time when I tried to order off the menu and the woman working the counter didn't speak a word of English, but she knew the numbers and how to make change. Needless to say I got pretty vocal that day. Just returned from McDonald's a few mins. ago to grab a quick lunch with the Count. Overheard this conversation on the bus today:
"How are you related to [so-&so]?"
"He's my nephew's dad."
"Wouldn't that make him your brother?"
(Pause.)
"Yeah, I guess so."

Watching King Kong Versus Godzilla on Off Beat Cinema. Sleep can wait for now. OH YEAH! One of the greatest monster flicks ever made. Kong' s reaction when he's losing are priceless.

Wondering whatever happened to my Hardy Boys book collection. The old Mickey Mouse Club in the 50's and early 60's had 2 or 3 Hardy Boy mysteries that they ran like serials. They would run maybe 10 minutes on every show for a while. I was a little kid, but I remember getting The Tower Treasure and the Secret Of the Old Mill for Christmas one year. I found copies of other HB books as time went along. I guess over the years my one brother absconded with them like he did with some of my LP's....... Prick. Does anyone know if you can still get some of them. I heard that in the 90's some unscrupulous bastard started editing the originals, and what you get is a watered down version of the original.

If anybody in the Western PA area has 'em, I'd bet on this guy. Ask for Bill.
