Okay, so I'm assuming video games can go here, too.
Anyway, I just bought a PS3. It's my first Sony home console (although I do own a PSP and wish it would've caught on more; the God of War game alone proves what the thing's capable of). Very happy with it.
Anyway, here's what I've been playing:
Resistance: Fall of Man -- pretty good so far. Kinda like what would happen if Doom and Call of Duty mated. My only problem so far is a huge lack of health packs, which ain't bad except the bad guys have really good aim.
Bioshock -- played this on the XBox 360 so this was a no-brainer purchase. Creepy, creative, amazing sound and visuals...it is, as the kids say, da bomb.
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock -- my fingers hurt. That is all.
Fallout 3: Post-apocalyptic RPG. Great production values, but I'm kinda hazy on what I need to do to make money so I can buy stuff. The closest I've come is a mission that leads me to an area swarming with these fish monsters that I'm nowhere near equipped enough to take down. I'm gonna give it a little more of a chance, but I have a feeling this is going towards a trade-in.

The graphics are great all around on the ps3 I love all of the Lego games they've put out. Fun stuff! The Star Wars game that kicked butt, is that The Force Unleashed? I played a little of the demo and loved it. That's also on my list. I also found that the PS3 is an excellent DVD player. I popped in Friday the 13th 3 and the 3-D effects were better than when I played it on my regular player.

Tony Hawk sucks. Haze sucks. Star Wars Unleashed is awesome. Star Wars Legos is fun. Dynasty Warriors is pretty good but I wish it had more levels.

If I do some trade-ins soon, I'm thinking this might be what I pick up. Never got into Tony Hawk. Sorry, but for me, skateboarding games began and ended with Skate or Die for the original NES. (Likewise, I have never picked up any hockey game after Blades of Steel or any football game after Tecmo Bowl.) Oh, and I gave Resistance more of a go last night. It took a little getting used to because unlike other shooters, you don't get a slow tutorial opening level. They throw you to the wolves right from the start. It's a little off-putting at first, but you get used to it pretty quick, and the combat is pretty intense. In fact, if you're like me and use the "charge ahead, shoot first, and ask questions later" method, you're gonna get slammed. It does require a lot of duck and cover and some strategic thinking (kinda wish it had Gears of War's shooting from cover mode, but oh well). The thing I think is kinda neat is how the health thing works. In the first level, you're on your own: no health packs, and even though a medic is mentioned, I don't think he can be used to heal you. You have four health bars with no auto-regenerate. But by the end, your character gets infected by the aliens, but obviously not enough to become one. Starting with the next level, you can pick up these alien health bottles that fix you up. Now, here's the twist (with a little borrowed from Halo): if you take damage but manage to avoid further harm, each bar regenerates on its own. But that depends on how many bars you have with any health. For instance, say you're down to two and three-quarters. The only one that fills back up is the third. You still need a pack to get the fourth one filled. Nice twist on the Halo games' method of regenerating the shield that adds a challenge without being frustrating. Definitely worth picking up. Got it used at GameStop for $28.

Traded two PS3 games and a bunch of PSP games yesterday and got Force Unleashed. So far, so good. Only gripe is this kinda cheap thing where I think I've wiped out everybody then suddenly a dude sneaks up behind me from out of nowhere. One, it's a cheap way in games to dole out hits on the player.
Two...I'm a freakin' Jedi! I thought they were impossible to sneak up on and stuff. There should be some kinda alarm or something to at least prepare you.
Loved the Vader level. Absolutely badass!

Interesting article about the Wii maybe losing a little steam from Yahoo. It's a bit on the Chicken Little side, but there's a few good points buried in there. Click here.

Batman: Arkham Asylum
They finally made a good Batman game! You actually feel like you're him while playing. Neat detective mode, creepy atmosphere, and great voicework so far. Definitely worth it.

Currently enjoying STAR OCEAN:THE LAST HOPE on PS3.
Real-time battles, 8 characters that each have unique combat styles, you have 4 characters in your active party, and control one of the them. The game's AI allows you to preset the other three's mode of attack. Lots of exploring, you travel to several different planets, lots monsters to kill.....I really couldn't ask for more, from this type of game.

My gaming time has suffered lately. This might be a good one to jumpstart things.
