Yes. In fact, I hereby order that the Summer Olympics must add topless water skiing to the events in 2012. I also hereby order that I and I alone get to put the medals on the winners.
plan on attending the summer olympics i take it??
Yep. I'm using the Chris Collinsworth method: glom on to the mom/dad/close relative of the most popular athlete and suck up as much camera time as possible.
Back to the subject at hand: do you think part of the problem is that the remake had so many legendary kills to live up to? Let's face it, that's the main charm of them. So I wonder was it a case of not being able to top the past movies, or was it maybe laziness o the filmmakers' part?
"The trade paper reports that sources say Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, who wrote the original reboot, are working on a script for a new movie, but that it will not be a sequel so much as a follow-up. Jason Voorhees will still be the killer, but the new project will reportedly use the original franchise more as a jumping-off point than as a template. The first reboot incorporated elements from the first four Friday the 13th slasher films, but producers are said to be less interested in plot elements from the original franchise's remaining six movies."
Okay, I'm guessing not so much a sequel as a follow-up is a really poorly written way of saying it won't be like the original second movie which takes place five years later. I'm gona guess and say it'll pick right up after the "shock" ending of this one.
As for not incorporating elements from the last six movies, I'd say no zombie Jason, meaning they're gonna puss out on giving him a cool look. And again, probably a lack of the sense of humor and fun.
