Charlie Morton to the DL. Addition by subtraction. Sounds like that new fangled math. That particular new math was a problem for Gary Furnhorst, which led him away from his lifelong goal or being an Astro - Physicist.

Gary Furnhorst had problems & they were many. It may be 500 years before his contributions to society are fully understood & appreciated.

Was hoping it would be Larouche but this is a good move too.

No way it was gonna be Laroche. He's younger & the team has "years of control" over him, in the parlance of the front office types. Besides, the utility infielder spot just might be his niche in the big leagues. The most important qualification for that spot is the ability to field a position for a day, which he can certainly do, his latest streak of errors notwithstanding.

Went to the game tonight. Had free tickets & a tailgate party from one of the vendors at work. We left after the 4th inning. It was unbearable to watch. Looks like things are now picking up in the bottom of the 8th but they are still down 3 runs.
Question - why was neither team playing a DH tonight? Do they alternate between games of the interleague series?

That's me. If it's baseball or Bob Dylan, I'm your man. Beyond that, I'm pretty much just taking up space.

Sorry my White Sox swept you guys. Feel free to take it out on the Cubs.
We get to face Washington's rookie phenom tonight....so much for that 3 game win streak.

Is it just my imagination or does Russell bench Milledge every time he has a multi-hit game?

Likewise, the White Sox can't seem to beat Cleveland, when everyone else does.
Strasburg pitched another gem on Friday-(7 IP, 1 ER, 10 Ks), but Washington lost in extra innings.
I promiced myself I won't get excited/optimistic about the White Sox, until they're playing above .500-(32-34 currently).
