Pitt was supposed to be on FSN but it looks like they've been preempted for the Penguins. At the risk of making some enemies 'round here, I must say that this really sucks. This does suck because the Penguins already lost this game earlier this afternoon.

Woo hoo! A sweet buzzer beater by Gibbs and Pitt wins over Providence!
Double bye in the Big East tournament!

I meant to come here this morning & predict that the Dukes would give up 100 points this afternoon but would win anyway, but I forgot.
Listening to Lady Dukes A-10 tourney opener now on Red Zone Media.

On last night's Lady Dukes broadcast, Who Dat mentioned that Herr Burgermeister was listening to the game in Squirrel Hill. Unfortunately, that was probably the highlight of the game for me.
Hopefully their season isn't quite over yet. With 20 wins there should be another WNIT bid forthcoming.

My family is obsessed with Akron and Kent. I root for RMU.

I still have nightmares about the night I witnessed Akron defeat Duquesne during the Darrell Porter years, when the kid from Akron set a record for most foul shots made in the Palumbo Center. I've forgotten his name. I only remember that some guy in the stands kept calling him Shorty.
I root for RMU, too, & all the local schools---Pitt, St. Francis, never Penn State---as long as they're not playing the Dukes. I'm happy for Mike Rice at RMU. The years when his dad coached the Dukes were some wild years, whether he was smashing the 2nd place trophy in the San Francisco tournament or stepping on the glasses of the other team's leading scorer. The son seems a lot like the dad, cept that he has some self-restraint.

Ouch - Northern Iowa busts the brackets!
All I have left in my Final Four are Syracuse and Kentucky which is also my semi pick, with Kentucky to win.

I can't believe the brackets this year. Crazy.

Kinda had a bad feeling about Pitt-Xavier today. So many local teams in postseason, so many quick exits.

My bracket has been busted. WTF, Kentucky? From here on out I'm rooting for the Butler Bulldogs.

Me, too. Sometimes I get tired of all the Big East arrogance in this town, but I gotta root for the local teams. I'll be happy to see WVU or Butler take it all.
