Traffic : Shoot Out at the Fantasy Factory. This is the first Traffic album I ever bought. What a great introduction to a great band.

Bootleg of Roy Buchanan at the Wax Museum in DC on 8/3/82. Just got this one & it's the most different from the other 25+ Roy concerts that I have. Here we get a spacy, funky Roy. Interesting but it's likely I won't reach for this one as often.

Inoffensive folk pop played at a reasonable volume at the local Caribou Coffee. Novocaine for the ears.

Cool. I believe your work schedule is crazier than mine. Generally I'm doing nothing on Saturday afternoons. PM me some time.

Richard Hayman Orchestra : Harlem Nocturne. I was watching some Mike Hammer DVD's and the theme song has been rattling around in my head. This version is OK.

The Mothers of Invention : Cruisin' With Ruben and the Jets. This is love parody of 50's music, complete with what Zappa calls , "redundant piano triplets." Ray Collins provides the high harmonies. This is just a good time CD that reminds you of the innocence of the times. 4 sharkskin suits outta 5. This would also be an excellent intoduction to Zappa.

Bob Dylan at Linz, Austria on 6/12/10. Good concert, a couple rough spots, but mostly good vocals by His Bobness by 2010 standards. Charlie Sexton is back with the band since fall 2009, replacing Denny Freeman. I really miss Denny.

The Grassroots - Golden Grass. Very '60's. How many of you know that their lead guitarist was Creed from The Office?

Listening to Squawk by Budgie. Great stuff. Although I'm not a big Metallica fan, I've gotta give them props for covering Breadfan and getting me into Budgie.
