Uriah Heep : Live Bootleg #3 Kawasaki, Japan. A mixture of mostly classic tunes with a few new ones thrown in. I'll have to listen to this a few times, but at first listen I like what I hear. The term " bootleg " is misleading now days.
Bootlegs bring back horrid memories of some guy with a cheap tape recorder in the audience, taping a show. It was mostly really piss poorly done with no low end and vocals that sounded like they were recorded in a cave. Plus you could hear people in the audience talking. They pressed them out onto cheap vinyl with a pencil drawing on the cover and were sold in head-shops. ( The Rubber Dubber and Trademark of Quality were among some of the labels used in the late 60's and early 70's.)
It isn't that way anymore. As evidenced by Johnny Winter's Official Live Bootleg Series, the Bob Dylan Joe burned for me, and this Uriah Heep. It sounds like it came directly off the sound boards.

Pink Floyd : Dark Side of the Moon Live Wembley 1974. The band was hot on this show. Pink Floyd Online has a 55 minute video with films created for use with this show. They're selling a box set of Dark Side of the Moon with 7 discs. Its really pricey, but then PF never really gave you anything for less than top dollar.

Iron Butterfly : In - A - Gadda - Da - Vida. I uploaded it onto my computer. Just the title track, a live version and the single version. The rest of the album just doesn't compare to the title track. Blue Cheer is up next and then the Blues Magoos. Why not have a psychedelic weekend ?

Michael Schenker Group : By Invitation Only. Another CD of Covers. This one is heavy. Hard Rock at it's best. His cover of War Pigs kicks some serious ass. Too bad the singer has to scream like his nuts were in a vice. Let's face it, Ian Gillian and Roger Daltry should be the only ones allowed scream like that. His cover of Money is so - so, but that's only because I feel that he could stick a little closer to the original and is capable of more. Leslie West makes an all too brief appearance on Blood Of the Sun. All in all, 8 1/2 outta 10.

I need a serious *ss kicking. I can't believe where my head is at : www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3-viNEqyZQThis is the guy who starred in the TV series Streethawk. Tangerine Dream did the theme song for this show. A bunch of this kind of horsesh*t was on a Hits of the 70's I found in one of the boxes. Just goes to show ya that there was a whole load of crap in the 70's too.

The Byrds : Byrds. 1973 reunion album. Some Neil Young songs, some David Crosby songs and harmony all over the place. The world just seems a better place when the harmony is tight. 9 3/4.

Eloy : Metromania. I bought this album back in 1983 because of the cover. Just a really great cover. Eloy is a German Prog Rock band similar to Pink Floyd, maybe a little spacier at times. The singer takes some time to get used to, but wtf, eh ? www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE8evIdO5bk

Utopia : Last Of the New Wave Riders. A 7 disc set of 4 different concert tours. They played the Stanley Theater on my birthday in 1979. Fantastic show, pretty nice set, but lots of repeats.

Thijs Van Leer : Introspection 2. Thijs Van Leer played flute and keyboards for the Dutch band Focus. He also did the yodeling on Hocus Pocus. Introspection 2 is mostly classical pieces for flute. Very peaceful......... VERY heavy stuff. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iw7qS9OCAPcNo real video, just the song. Jan Akkerman plays guitar. ( Bad MOFO ) Van Leer is on the right, Akkerman is on the left.

Kraan : Let It Out. There is no reason in the world for anyone in the US to know who the hell these guys are. They're a German Jazz Funk band. I'm not even sure they ever toured the US. I found an album of their's called Live Kraan at Garbage Records in Oakland. ( Later to be called Jerry's.) The album cover was cool, so I picked it up. It was recorded in 1974. ( I bought a sh*tload of albums strictly because of the covers. Most of them turned out to be great, but there were a few duds in there too.) It warranted further investigation. Anyway in 1974, they had a sax player who doubled on keyboards. I found a video of them in 2011. Sax player is long gone. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVRYD7PZhug

Evergreen : A Mandolin Christmas. What's not to love about this CD ? Mandolins, acoustic guitars, a Dobro, a stand up bass. All instrumental stuff. I've bought exactly 3 Christmas albums : This one, Larry Carlton's Christmas At My House and Russ Freeman's Holiday. All instrumental. Nice to listen to in the dark. I was into Mannheim Steamroller at least 15 years before they ever recorded a Christmas album. Check out Fresh Aire 4 & 5.

Savoy Brown : Voodoo Moon. It could be my imagination ( and I hope it isn't ) but they keep sounding better and better with age. I see on the newer videos that Kim Simmonds isn't playing his Flying V as much. He seems happy with a Les Paul. Give me an SG any day. Really great album BTW.
