I love House. Still watch it all of the time. I'm hoping to find a movie poster someday.

It's funny that Blair Witch has been mentioned. I didn't think that movie was scary at all. I thought it was weak! And it also made me motion sick.

oh, man, & when I was a kid, the Night on Bald Mountain segment from Fantasia wrecked me! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! One of my favorite composers, favorite pieces of music, and favorite animated sequences!!! Loved "House" as well. Haven't seen it in ages. The Exorcist was mostly boring and then really funny. Of course I never saw it when I was younger. The movie that scared me most the first time I saw it was "Alien" - that was white knuckles all the way...

I didn't see the Exorcist until I was an adult, so I also thought it was boring and semi-funny. It took FOREVER for anything even remotely scary to happen. Rose Mary's Baby is another one that people say is really scary and I say WTF? It was so lame and boring and then finally when you think it is going to start getting good, it is lame again. The black baby carriage was the best thing in the whole movie, because it's creepy looking. We went to a film exhibit in NYC and there was a mock up of the black baby carriage with sounds of a baby inside. You could not see what was inside until you leaned into it. So, it was really weird with the anticipation of what is in there! It ended up being a little TV playing the movie. That was far better than the movie itself.

Let's see...
The "Prey" segment from Trilogy of Terror Original Elm Street Texas Chainsaw Candyman...and it didn't help going at night then walking home via a poorly-lit parking lot The Mist Night of the Living Dead

"the blair witch project" - ill tell ya why. i thought Heather's screaming was genuine (tent scene, and final scene). and, the whole thing wears you down with frustration. so i surrendered myself to the experience, and her piercing screaming got under my skin.
"rosemary's baby" - she was so waif like that you couldnt help but fall in love with rosemary. the whole organized plot revolving around her is the scariest thing - her whole world was a sham, with her being used to bear evil into the world.
yea, i was the kid who sat in the back of class and never raised my hand. ;D
