Do you have any must see movies for the Halloween season? For me it's John Carpenter's Halloween and Night of the Living Dead on Halloween night.
I have a bunch of others I like to watch in October. Since the cable channels have had bad lineups in October the last couple of years I plan on watching a lot more movies from my own collection.
I was curious to know what everyone else will be watching.

i have to watch the NoES-es, Freddy v. Jason, usually a Hitchcock like Psycho or The Birds, NOTLD ... and sometimes I'll just let the TV decide. it can surprise me with something i wouldn't usually choose.

I used to enjoy letting the TV decide but the last couple of years it seems like the TV has betrayed me. How many times can AMC play the remake of House on Haunted Hill? Apparently the answer is an infinite amount of times.

I used to print up the month lineup and set up my viewing schedule for each night and when I wasn't home DVR it. I know dork, right? But I love this stuff. Now we are lucky to get a couple of channels showing horror flicks the week of Halloween. Some only show horror movies the eve and day of Halloween. Sucks, just plain sucks.

This will be my first Halloween season with digital cable and all of the premium channels, so I'm looking forward to seeing what TV has to offer.
Tradition wise: I like to watch the original Halloween and for some reason if Halloween 3 is on, I never can look away from "Happy, Happy Halloween, Halloween, Halloween. Happy, Happy Halloween. Silver Shamrocks!"
Is that what they say? Is it "Silver Shamrocks"?

The song though is more of a count down. 8 more day till Halloween, Halloween, Halloween. 8 more day till Halloween, Silver Shamrock. The reason I know this is because this song is forever stuck in my head and anytime there is a count down, say HR, I post this song. Or anytime it's October then the song runs in my head constantly and for some reason I don't mind. I remember watching this movie for the first time thinking "what the hell? This isn't a Halloween movie, there's no Micheal Myers." What a dork I was back then. Anyway by the end of the movie I enjoyed it. Reminds me alot of firestarter in a way. Eh, anyway I enjoy this movie alot.

I bitched about halfway through the movie about that. Just sitting there waiting for Michael. Then realized that there was going to be no Michael. Couldn't figure out why they called it Halloween if the story was completely different. Wasn't happy.

I agree about the lack of movies running for Halloween, and I'd like to add a frown about the lack of shows, too. Used to be you could count on some station running mini-marathons of shows like Tales from the Darkside and others.
And is it my imagination, or are there fewer and fewer "regular" shows doing Halloween episodes? Of course, The Simpsons still plugs away at Treehouse of Terror, but even that often gets delayed until after Halloween. (Thanks, Fox and Major League Baseball.)
I'm amazed they still rerun The Great Pumpkin.

Watched "Night of the Demons" last night. It was an easy FearNet call up. Didn't have to get off the couch. Good/crappy 80's horror. Lots of boobs. Little bit of gore. A lot of goofy scenes. I enjoyed it. Leanna Quigley(sp?) is in this movie which was part of the draw for me.
