I had always hoped that the headline in my obituary would read, "Not Just Sausage." Looks like he beat me to it.

No surprise about Steinbrenner, as his health has been bad for some time. His family never let on how badly he was doing, but he'd been out of it for about 3 years now. His sons took over in '07, which is why Joe Torre was dismissed after that season. Torre never had the same rapport with them that he did with the Boss.

OMG! Bill Cowher's wife, Kaye, has died from skin cancer. wow! That is a shock. Probably explains why he hasn't been coaching.

Sad news. It does explain a lot. I was never as enamored of Cowher as most of the so-called Steeler Nation was, but at the same time I had little patience for the people who spread the rumors around town that Cowher had cheated on his wife & had left coaching & moved to NC so they could have a quiet divorce. Wonder how these people feel now.

I remember my parents had many Mitch Miller albums when I was a kid.

I remember my parents had many Mitch Miller albums when I was a kid. I think just about every household in America had a Mitch Miller album. My teacher in Parochial school would bring them in and conduct us like Miller. Here is his interview on AoAT. In part 2 he talks about the original War of the Worlds radio boradcast. "The people went beserk." www.emmytvlegends.org/interviews/people/mitch-miller
