You can go the back way like we did! We wouldn't be able to get there in time for the start because Michelle works until 6:00 and has to go through town (or a detour). Too bad!

Definitely not going now. I'm sick. I think Tony Todd gave me a cold. He was sneezing in my car.

So, the first review...
Loveditlovedlovedit! No, it's not scary, but the ads have made it perfectly clear this isn't supposed to be frightening (and unlike other recent great movies that I won't mention, the advertising is spot on about what the movie is). What it is, though, is so much more. Zombieland kinda spoofs the zombie apocalypse story but it's very respectful and smart about how it treats the subject. The rules of survival make perfect sense, and the way these rules pop up throughout the movie -- let's call them "interactive graphics" -- is a gimmick that could grow old but doesn't thanks to clever use.
Nice mix of prosthetic gore and CGI blood 'n guts. I'm not a big fan of the latter, but it's used here only when absolutely necessary. And trust me, there is a nice amount of splatter overall (although I suspect one zombie kill was cut for the R; praise be to DVD director cuts).
Top-notch cast, especially Woody Harrelson. Think Mickey Knox meets Jack Burton, and you're close to understanding the sheer awesomeness that is Tallahassee. There's also an extended cameo that is worth the price of admission alone. To say more would be just plain wrong. (And even if you've seen the name on other sites, you probably haven't been spoiled as to the context of said cameo; it's a blast.)
The following isn't my observation. It belongs to Bradster and EvilDead, but I'm gonna borrow it because it sums up the movie perfectly: Zombieland has so many different things in it that it would be easy to just completely screw the entire movie royally. But the movie works so perfectly because it knows exactly when to jump from one type of movie to another.
Don't miss this one at all. I'm a picky bastard, and even I'm hard pressed to find anything about Zombieland I didn't like.

Great review tenebrae99! The only thing more enjoyable than watching this movie, was watching it with tenebrae99 and Bradster! What a fun night, guys! I was so worried this would be another failed attempt at a zombie film that I was almost afraid to watch the movie when it started. To my surprise though, it started out strong and just kept getting better as it went on. Interesting & likeable characters & character development (especially Tallahassee!), fun plot, and lots of great surprises along the way. And like tenebrae99 said earlier, there are so many places in the story where the plot could have taken a turn for the worse, but thankfully, it did not. They really got it right this time! Overall the most entertaining zombie film I've seen in a long time! This movie was so much fun, it just leaves you wanting more when it's over.
To all my fellow zombie fans out there who are thinking of seeing this movie - GO SEE IT NOW!!

Just read a glowing review on Ain't It Cool News, and in the review, it says there's another great cameo after the credits. Brad, ED, and I didn't stay, so I don't know who it is, but I thought I'd drop a heads-up.
