I saw Rainbow at the old Stanley Theatre that same year. During the last song, Blackmore smashed his guitar to smithereens---I mean he put Pete Townshend to shame. Then he pissed off the crowd by refusing to do an encore. Probably coz he'd smashed his guitar to smithereens.

Hawkwind : Out Of The Shadows. On a Hawkwind faze today. Filmed in 2002. Now this is a great Hawkwind show ! Not to be confused with Knights In Space, which is a POS ! Along with Brock, Blake, and Chadwick is founding member Huw Lloyd-Langton, Alan Davey, and special guest Arthur Brown ( from the Crazy World of Arthur Brown. ) Plus the DVD has an interview with Brock. Good sound. B+

A Hard Day's Night. I'm trying to figure out what got into HULU to make this one available for free. The last time I saw this one, was in 1964 or 1965. I laughed my ass off today as I watched it again. Kids, this is one to see just as a reminder of how crazy we were in those days.

Dreamscape. Its got to be at least 20 years since I've seen this one. Its available on HULU. Still trying to figure out why they have it listed under Horror. More of a Sci-Fi flick than anything else. Hell, it could be science fact now, who knows what good old Uncle Sam is up to these days ?

The Amazing Journey : The Story of the Who. For me, its impossible to watch a movie about the Who and not get excited. I would proclaim anyone, who doesn't get a thrill out of this movie, clinically dead and morally corrupt.

Bob Dylan : The Folk Years. Very British with a bunch of assumptions. This must have been for British television at one point. All the commentators are British journalists, who were little kids when the music they're talking about was being made. Yet they talk as if they were there and experiencing it at the time. There are snippets of Dylan here and there, but you never get to hear any of the songs in their entirety because that would take away from these journalists' screen time. Maybe Joe will disagree with me, but this was not so much about Bob Dylan as it was about the assumptions of these 4 writers. SJ don't like it. I caught it on HULU.

Bob Dylan No Direction Home. This is the Martin Scorsese film on Dylan from 1961 - 1966. VERY well done ! Some of the archive clips and interviews were really interesting. Poor Bob was put in a position he didn't want. You could see how uncomfortable he was. I feel bad for him being put in that position. But I'd give the movie a 10 outta 10.

Evil Bong 2 : King Bong. As you can guess by the title, this movie deals with smoking dope. For those innocent individuals, a bong is similar to a water pipe for partaking weed, hash, or opium. You fill it with cold water, ice water, scotch, bourbon or flavored schnapps to cool down or flavor the smoke. Anyway, according to the movie, a guy's friend's were all killed by this evil bong. A kid buys it on ebay and the legend goes on. I laughed my ass off. I'm not sure, but I think Tommy Chong had a hand in writing this. He was in the first movie. ( Think Cheech and Chong without them in it. Slightly similar to Ski School.) 3 1/2 outta 5

"The Amazing Spiderman"
I Liked It It`s a Little Slow at Start... But It`s Got Heart Action & It`s Got It`s Funny Moments... & It`s Got Comic Book Charm... Not That I`m Big Into Comics or Anything but... I`d Say It Ranks Right up There With The 2nd Spiderman... Which is I Think The Best of The Group...

Evil Dead. Its been close to 30 years since I saw this one. Hulu has it available. ( Probably because they're doing a remake of it. ) Great movie, even a boob shot. Nice........... 9 outta 10.

Jersey Boys. This is the story of the 4 Seasons. I thought it was really well done. The guy playing Frankie Valli was pretty good, but sadly not the real thing. I was a little kid in their hay day, but I remember hearing Sherry on the radio. I never knew about the gambling. Frankie Valli almost worked himself to death, not only to pay off the debt but also for an ungrateful wife. I give it a 4 1/2 outta 5.
