We are the World II debuted last night as part of NBC's coverage of the Olympics opening ceremonies. Did you see it? What did you think?
There will probably be wildly divergent opinions here and no one is right. So play nice with each other in discussing. Everyone's entitled to their opinion.

I hated it. I thought it was chaotic and cacophonous. Too many people and too many, soloists or those in the group, trying to "out diva" each other with wailing and verbal gymnastics. Who was the dude who was yodeling?
Why were people like Vince Vaughn and Nicole Richie in there? Odd. Where were the big names like Beyonce and Lady Gaga?
I support the idea of recreating the event after 25 years and the wonderful cause of raising funds for Haiti. But ugh.

I voted that I don't care but I guess then that would mean I shouldn't express an opinion...BUT I don't see why it was necessary other than to raise money for charity and that is nice. But meh.

I voted didn't see it, coz I didn't see it. I take it that's a good thing. There's a style of singing today where everybody is turning one-syllable words into 16-syllable words just so they can show off how many notes they can hit with one word, but I find it all boring.
