Mojo Nixon : Bo-Day-Shus. Laughing at I Ain't Gonna Piss In No Jar. Where is Mojo these days ? I really miss his commentary on the world.

Bootleg recording of Roy Buchanan at Graffiti on 12/19/87 that I just came across Thursday night & have listened to nonstop since. Sound quality is only fair but since I was there I'm very pleased to have this. Roy really tore up the place on this night.

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, 2009 mono mix. My cousin gave me all the 2009 mono mixes, but I admit I'm not an audiophile & don't see a lot of difference between these & my vinyl, but at least having 'em saves wear & tear on the vinyl.
Anyways, Sgt. Pepper is famous for having introduced studio technology to the record industry, but for me it was the first album where I really noticed the bass playing. To me, the bass was primarily a time-keeping instrument in rock-n-roll until it was revolutionized by guys like McCartney, Entwhistle, Phil Lesh, & Jack Cassady, who used it to play discernible melodies. Seems to me that McCartney was first, & this was the album, altho' I could be wrong.

UFO 2 Flying. This was before Michael Schenker. Basically the same song for about an hour. Very Psychedelic Blues. Guitarist just disappeared. His name was Mick Bolton. There was a guy who played keyboards for Mott the Hoople named Mick Bolton. Different guy. Not Michael Bolton, this guy was British. Good guitar player, not great, but good.

John Mayall's 70th Birthday Party Live. At times Mayall's Bluesbreakers rock harder than most mainstream bands. This one has Mick Taylor and Clapton on it. Mick has a new live DVD coming out in April. Can't wait to see it.

Mick Taylor is dynamite. I was bummed when he had to cancel his free show here last July, the night before the Dylan concert. The Count & I were looking forward to seeing him.
Listening to now: A bootleg of the Grateful Dead at the Fillmore East on 4/26/71, with special guests the Beach Boys joining 'em on stage for a few songs. I like having oddities like this in my collection.

Bootleg of the complete Last Waltz concert. 4 hours, 4 CD's, 42 songs including the all-star jams at the end. No editing or overdubs. Good stuff.

Bob Dylan at Worcester, MA on 5/16/88, while I download this morning's Dylan concert in Osaka, Japan, his first of 2010. Is the interweb great or what?

Finished listening to Dylan's concert in Osaka, Japan on 3/11/10 a few days ago. Now I'm listening to his 3/13/10 concert in Osaka, Japan. I skipped the 3/12/10 concert in Osaka, Japan, but I might hafta reconsider. This is some dynamite stuff.
