I keep hearing Back in the New York Groove on a commercial. I always liked that song. Is that wrong?

I keep hearing Back in the New York Groove on a commercial. I always liked that song. Is that wrong? Not at all. Ace Frehley's solo album was easily the best of the 4 KISS members', although Paul Stanley's was also really good. "New York Groove" was the only song from any of them that was considered a hit...

Talking Heads : Fear of Music. My favorite Talking Heads album. The consensus of the "experts" is that Remain in Light is their best album, but I like Fear of Music a lot better. From the same era, I listened to Squeeze - Cool For Cats last night. Been also listening to Brownsville Station with the Count. The late Cub Koda is vastly underrated. A 2-chord, 3-minute-song rock-n-roller who never pretended to be anything else.

Bootleg recording of the Clash at CMU, 10/16/82, which I personally attended. Fun to listen to. Sound quality could be better.

The Stranglers : Rattus Norvegicus. You can tell these guys were inspired by the Doors. Fave tune at the moment : Down In the Sewer. Also like Hangin' Around.

Bob Dylan at Anaheim, 3/10/00, late show. Popular among Dylanologists coz of the rare performances, including the only live performance of "We Better Talk This Over" since '78. Dylan & the Never Ending Tour Band are really on for this show.

If anyone could find a way to tie baseball and Dylan into one thread an make it interesting then it would be Joe in my opinion. I don't know enough about Dylan to start the the thread.

Did a decent portrait of Hugh Cornwall back in my art school days. He's touring the U.S. this spring. Mostly west coast dates, unfortunately.

Someone should start a Dylan/Baseball thread on this board. I can easily start a Dylan/Baseball thread. Stay tuned. Where would the moderators prefer to see it---in the Sports section or the Music section? I'd do it myself, but I'm not interesting enough to afford the privilege. Not touching that part. Best to let some things die.

It will be impressive enough to belong anywhere.

Eloy Fritsch : Space Music. Along the same lines as Vangelis and Synergy. Very relaxing.

Miss Peggy Lee Sings the Blues, a fine Christmas gift from the Count. Her last great album.

Bootleg of Roy Buchanan in Chicago on 9/15/79, one that I reach for often. Includes the most sublime, over-the-top version of "Can I Change My Mind" in the history of music, with what might be Roy's greatest guitar solo ever. Instant happy feet during that one.
