My favorite interview was Warren Buffett trying to cheese 'em over their mileage allowance. I wonder how many viewers even knew who that was.

I'm happy with the choice of Andy as regional mgr. I knew it couldn't be Dwight or Jim. Two of the great recurring themes are Dwight the #2 man hungry for the mgr. job & Jim the prankster, each of which isn't possible for one who is boss. Andy is a jackass & an egotist, & also a decent human being. As boss he'll be funny, but there will also be some sweet moments like when he sucked it up & defended his co-workers to Robert California, who should be an interesting character as long as they don't overdo it with m. To me it looks like there's life after Steve Carell.

Will give it a chance but it feels like this will be the last year. I do like the return of Jim and Dwight to their former selves. That is one of the ingredients that made the show what it is.

I found things to laugh at, but I agree, I wasn't falling outta my chair. I think---& this is just a hunch---that the show is gonna develop sorta like MASH did, that they'll try to give the characters more depth & make the show about the people & their relationships as well as being a comedy. The premiere looked like a start along those lines.
They have a promising story line coming up in a couple weeks. The guys in the warehouse chip in for lottery tickets, win, & quit their jobs, leaving the office staff to perform warehouse chores.

I wasn't happy with last week's episode with Maura Tierney playing Robert California's wife or am I to believe that behind every powerful male executive is a fearful husband?

I wasn't happy with last week's episode with Maura Tierney playing Robert California's wife or am I to believe that behind every powerful male executive is a fearful husband? That episode annoyed me because of how poor Andy was being batted around by California. Just mean. Even Michael Scott was never that mean to Toby.
