Looking forward to this episode. It will probably mark the moment the show jumps the shark.

Looking forward to this episode. It will probably mark the moment the show jumps the shark. The fact that they are having a baby as well will be annoying. Wedding stories are fine. Baby stories bore me.

Some parts were great, others...eh, I dunno.
Could have done with the vomit-athon opener.
All in all, I wouldn't say it jumped the shark. Maybe just skirted around it a little too close.

It was pretty good. I didn't like that they were making a dance party in the one guys hotel room. It was too much like the episode last year when Michael had his office downstairs from Dunder Mifflin. But the scrotum tear made up for everything.

i love finding a good set of twins Laughed my ass off at that. I want to clarify I didn't exactly hate the episode. It just felt a little more sitcom-y than usual, and as Rich said, they kinda repeated some past gags. Probably didn't help that I just rewatched the episode where Phyllis got married, either. I'm just wondering where they're gonna go with the big reveal we saw after the credits.

I think the shark has been jumped with Pam being out of character with Michael over her mother. Not enjoying that so much.

I think the shark has been jumped with Pam being out of character with Michael over her mother. Not enjoying that so much. ****SPOILERS IN CASE YOU MISSED IT**** Well, you could argue that it was the fact that Michael pulled off the ultimate douchebag hat trick: he broke it off at her birthday lunch, he did it in front of Pam and Jim, and he did it after doing enough sweet things to both make Pam accept the relationship and make men across the country hope to God their significant others weren't watching (who can compete with a scrapbook for God's sake?!). But I'm with you for a different reason: it felt like an excuse to end this storyline quickly in a way I couldn't completely buy. Michael's already shown he's looking for a young woman anyway -- remember Pam's landlady? -- so we're expected to buy that one conversation about Italy and skydiving suddenly makes him realize she's older? I know the guy's dense, but c'mon! At the very least, this should have been the start of him having doubts, not the instant ending we got. Did like the Andy/Dwight out-favoring battle, though. ****END SPOILERS**** I think the big problem this year so far is out-of-character stuff. Hardcase Jim and Slugger Pam make sense, but they're not playing as well as they need to be. Oh, and remember: we still have a baby coming. Uh-ohhhhhh...

My two-cents. Michael's handling of Pam's mom's age was abrupt, but handled amazingly well by Carell. His skills are unsurpassed if you ask me (and you didn't). I thought the Dwight and Andy thing was overdone, but still funny. Seemed like filler. Linda Purl (Helene) looked great, and is, BTW 54. I thought her part was well executed and believable. I think they may have Dwight becoming a caricature of himself over the Jim promotion. Part of what I liked about Dwight was that he was creepy and bizarre, but seemingly unaware of it. Too much conspicuous leering these days. Still funny, but not as funny.

i liked the way Michael broke up with Pam's mom. it was totally ridiculous just like EVERYTHING else he does. plus i didn't see that storyline progressing much further anyway. it didn't mesh with the show's grand scheme of things. i too thought the Dwight/Andy thing was overdone but still funny. Dwight does seem to be becoming more strange lately and not in a good way. but some of his lines are still stand-out hilarious. i think maybe the writers are struggling not to turn this into the Jim & Pam Show.
